How Plants Can Make Your Outdoor Space More Relaxing

Geraniums

Greenery and flowers are always a must for an outdoor living space, but they provide more than just beauty.

Plants help create a natural boundary. They can be used to line walkways and make the pathway more distinct. They can also act as barriers that separate different areas of the yard, such as a garden from the patio or lounge area, or the open lawn where children run and play from the more decorative areas of the space.

One factor that some people don't consider is how certain plants have qualities that naturally repel bugs or are deer resistant. No one likes to deal with mosquitoes or be forced to weasticky bug spray. Here is a list of plants that will naturally repel those pesky mosquitoes and make your outdoor experience more enjoyable:

 Greenery:
-Citronella Grass

Flowers:
-Marigolds
-Lavender
-Penny Royal
-Geraniums

Herbs:
-Basil
-Rosemary
-Peppermint
-Garlic
