A Visit to the Chicago Design Summit
Myself with Kara Mann of Kara Mann Design and Architectural Digest"s Mayer Rus

As an extremely busy designer and firm owner at Amy Youngblood Interiors,  I don't have to time to attend every interior design show out there.  However,  this year I decided to attend the one day Chicago Design Summit at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. My past home,  Chicago is host to some of the top talents and resources in the Midwest.  The one day event hosted hour long sessions in all areas of residential interior design and architecture. I began my day with an architectural presentation called the "Iconic House" and ending it by attending the Chicago VIP Luxury Gala,  a first class event at which some of the top Mid-West talents were honored.

Other sessions I attended of interest were "5 Secrets to Social Media Success",  Sherwin William's Introduction to the hot color palettes for 2017, and an interesting session on the Italian Influence of Kitchen Design.  Probably the highlight of my day was meeting and talking to famous interior designer, Kara Mann, at the beautiful Paris Ceramics Showroom.  I've always been a fan of Kara's work and found her discussion with Architectural Digest's Editor Mayer Rus both enlightening and entertaining.  I look forward to attending in the future!
