How to Mix and Match Appliance Finishes

Whether you're looking to update a powder room or completely overhaul your kitchen, there are many new plumbing and appliance finish options for all of your needs. GE has introduced "Slate" as an appliance finish. A smooth, satin patina, slate brings warmth to the space in a way that traditional appliances lack.  Another new option is LG's black stainless steel. Black stainless provides a refreshing look on the traditional stainless appliances.

Mixing and matching these appliance finishes with plumbing fixtures is a great way to add visual interest throughout your kitchen.  Kohler offers a variety of finishes for faucets and sinks in both the kitchen and bathroom.  A Great Gatsby-esque "Vibrant Moderne Brushed Gold" pops off the bathroom counter for a true statement piece.

Finally, look to light fixtures for new finishes.  Arteriors offers many finishes including a polished nickel and natural iron.  Light from the fixtures provides great play off of these metals and adds a level of interest.
