Join us for Creativity & Cocktails!

September 27, 2017  |  event, nonprofit, party

Amy Youngblood Interiors is teaming up with Indigo Hippo for a fun night of creating art and enjoying cocktails!

Indigo Hippo is a nonprofit art supply thrift store located in Over-the-Rhine, making creativity accessible to everyone by offering creative materials to the community on a pay-what-you-can scale. In the shop, you will find supplies ranging from tradition to surprising, from paints, frames and yarn, to metal findings, magazines and seashells.

To help support their vision, AYI is hosting an event in our space! We will have small appetizers provided by Che', drinks, and a coloring station for you to get creative!

Creativity & Cocktails
October 6th at 6:30 pm
at Amy Youngblood Interiors
1420 Main St, Cincinnati 45202

If you attend, please bring a gently used art or craft supply, found object (like seashells, bottle caps, corks, etc) or choose to support with a suggested $5 donation.

Some examples of gently used items to bring:

  •  paint of all kinds: oil, watercolor, acrylic, waterbed, interior
  •  paint  brushes
  •  markers
  •  crayons
  •  oil pastels
  •  sketch books
  •  pencils
  •  yarn
  •  thread

Not an artist? That's just fine! You're sure to have something you no longer need that can be turned into art! Here's a list of some non-conventional items that could be used to make art or be turned into art:

  • tools: hammers, screw drivers, pliers, nails/screws, dremmels, drills
  • fasteners/fixtures: hooks, doorknobs, screws, nails, wire, rope, greats, hemp string
  • natural materials: acorns, pretty rocks, tree slices, bamboo, moss, feathers, sea shells, pine cones, decorative glass
  • containers: decorative tins, storage totes with lids, milk crates, mason jars
  • office supplies: paper clips, pens notepads, memo books, file folders, glue, scotch tape
  • books: magazines, collage materials, art books/reference materials/how-to books

We are very excited to help support their vision in making creating art accessible to everyone and we hope to see you there!
