Our Top 5 Fall Interior Design Trends

Here are Amy Youngblood Interiors' top five new fall trends to keep an eye out for:

  1. Gold.  From end tables to fixtures, gold is everywhere! There has been a rise in metallic statement pieces.  Gold finishes are turning heads on accent pieces, picture frames, and mirrors.

  2. Speaking of mirrors, statement mirrors are all the rage right now. Hung above mantles and bookshelves, mirrors are taking the focus is many rooms, especially as tech-less living spaces become popular.

  3. Extra large tile has been more popular recently than tiny mosaics. Currently, Amy Youngblood Interiors is working on bathroom floors that lay a 12” x 24” tile along the floor and walls for a modern look. Try extra large tile alone, or pair it with smaller tiles to create a dynamic space.

  1. Mid-Century Modern influences have been very popular at the moment. Don’t be surprised if you spot a chair that looks like it came straight from Charles and Ray Eames or Eero Saarinen this fall!

  2. A herringbone pattern is very popular right now. It can be spotted in bathrooms and kitchens and even on furniture. This trendy pattern was very popular at the Columbus Parade of Homes.
  3. Neutrality. This fall you're bound to see rooms that rock neutrals. Beiges, taupes, browns, greys, and warm whites are all piling heavy on designer's palettes right now.
  4. Another thing to watch for this fall are men’s clothing inspired fabrics. Couches are donning tweed and wool covers; chairs are being draped in dark greys and browns—much the same as typical men’s suit colors.
