What's Happening Lately in OTR?

Amy Youngblood Interiors is located in the newly revitalized historical Cincinnati neighborhood, Over-the-Rhine. OTR, as it is often called, is seeing a surge in business growth and opportunity. Many of the formerly deteriorated and abandoned buildings are being purchased and restored into unique shops, restaurants, breweries and bars. Known for its eclectic vibe, OTR draws people in with each new business that opens its doors.

Celebrating just over a year now in this new location, we are excited to be a part of the ever-growing neighborhood! If you haven’t had the chance to come visit our office in historical Over-the-Rhine lately, it’s time you stopped by! And while you’re here, there’s plenty to see and do while you are in the neighborhood.

If you’re feeling hungry and also craving something to drink, check out Taft’s Ale House.  Although not on Main Street, this one is worth a mention because of the major renovation this building undertook. The atmosphere is amazing, as you’ll be enjoying yourself in a newly transformed and restored historical church that has been converted into the brewery. Not only will you be drinking local and deliciously brewed beer, their food is also quite good as well, with their ribs and wings receiving rave reviews.

Or, if you’re in the mood to sample a wide array of craft beer and wine, head on over to Liberty’s Bar and Bottle, which is conveniently located right down the street from us on Main Street.

Another place that we recommend is Iris Book Café, where you can often catch us having lunch. Iris Book Café is an all-natural café serving mostly organic and local sandwiches, soups, smoothies, teas and coffee. Iris offers vegan and vegetarian options as well. We have to confess that we love their homemade vegan chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies! The best part is that it is located just a short walk away from our office on Main Street.

And don’t forget about Findlay Market, where you’re sure to find unique fresh produce and delicious food to delight your taste buds. Or Washington Park, where City Flea will soon start back up again in the spring!

While this is just a glimpse of the many unique businesses in OTR, you can check out the full calendar of events happening around OTR here as well as a directory of shops, restaurants and bars here.

See you in the neighborhood!
